It’s easy. Just visit the subscription page to join our other students.

How do I watch lessons and progress along the learning path?

Visit the Learn page to view all the videos currently available to you. We recommend you work through the lessons in order to build on skills in the most effective and helpful way.

I’ve been playing guitar for a while and some of the early lessons aren’t relevant to me. Can I skip them or unlock later lessons?

You can follow the lessons in any order you like, but we suggest at least skimming through the lessons in order to make sure you haven’t missed anything.

Practice Exercises

How do practice exercises work?

Watching a new lesson will often unlock a practice exercise. Practice exercises are designed to help you develop the skills you've learned, and are shown beneath the lesson on the lesson page.

How do I log my progress in the Practice Journal?

Click on the “Start Timer” button to start your practice session when you are ready to start practicing. Then work through the exercises or your own routine.

Once you are finished practicing, click on “Finish Practice”. This will save your practice session and allow you to enter some notes for future reference. We suggest making a note of how fast you managed to play an exercise, what you struggled with and what you’d like to work on next time.

Click “Save” to store a Practice Journal entry that will include which skill you practiced, how how much time you logged and any notes you made.

How does the metronome work?

You can use our built in metronome to work on playing the exercise to a consistent tempo, which is really important! Set your speed, or Beats Per Minute (BPM), by either clicking on the plus and minus icons or by clicking on the BPM number itself and typing in a new tempo. The Play and Pause icons allow you to start and stop the metronome in between exercises you are working on.

If you would to pay using PayPal, you can purchase one of our gift coupons, and then redeem the coupon against your account. See our answer on “What is Stripe?” for a more detailed explanation of why we chose to take card payments through Stripe.

Will memberships be automatically renewed?

Yes, once you’ve entered your payment details and signed up for a recurring monthly or annual membership, your details will be stored securely by Stripe and used to continue your membership unless you decide to cancel.
